We will be picking up our new camper trailer in Jan. We have specified a Hyland hitch. There will be little clearance between the top of the hitch and the bottom of the spare wheel carrier (door mounted Suzuki Grand Vitara). Two questions;
1 Is the Hyland hitch lower in profile that the Hitchmaster DO35?
2 If the answer is yes, is the bolt pattern of the Hyland and DO35 identical?

Im only guessin here mate, but I know the Hyland has the pull up release, where as Im pretty sure the DO35 is a slide release if that makes sense...
That may make a diiference if height is an issue. The bolt hole pattern I am not sure on.
:cheers:

The DO35 is a low profile hitch, less than 100mm, where the Hyland is not low profile at all. Go the DO35 if you can, it's a brilliant hitch. Down side is you need to change the pintle to ball for your other trailers, if you have any, when you want to drag them around.

I have two tongues one for the DO35 and one with STD tow ball, the spare lives in the drawers in the back of the LC so it's always available.

Why not Aus Hitch? (No connection, just wondering, as it would seem ideal to solve your issue.)
