I thought the kids might use it....nup

Here's where my wood comes from. Essentially, once a year, a gum blocks my driveway :)

and here's how I stack it inside the house

Lush life giving me a rush (pop music reference  ;D )!

Spent some time this arvo benching some of the red gum we cut a couple of weeks ago. Still half a tandem load to go.

Finally got a wood shed built the other weekend. Didn't want all the wood getting wet, after going to the effort of cutting & splitting it all.
Inspired by this thread, so thought I'd put a few pics up.

Finally got around to cutting up some of the red gum collected. Best part is cleaning up the bark and saw dust and having a little fire while drinking a coffee. Nice way to spend a Saturday morning!

Did I see a comment or post somewhere that collection of firewood in Vic. is going to be more restricted in the future?

It seems that you guys depend on it for heating and cooking?

It will be, bit I don't think anyone can say with any certainty what those restrictions will be. The collection areas around here closed months early probably due to people going hell for leather in fear of missing out. Time will tell what restrictions will be in place. Who knows what it will be like after the next election too!
