Fraser Island 1989. If you look closer the car actually has number plates. I'm not saying it was roadworthy or even registered, but it did go on the barge back to the main land.

a chain is only as stong as its weakest link, (a rear bar is only as strong as its mounts !!)

Whoa! Now that is a beast. Trying to pic the origin of the nose/cabin part, I'm getting EH, HK, or XP Falcon. Who knows what the rest is... I think the overall design is actually pretty interesting and would be fantastic for Fraser with all that unimpeded viewing.

Good Guess Squalo. From memory it, it was a Falcon and still a rear wheel drive. It certainly got a lot of attention.
