So why start one in the first place?  You had the choice not to challenge my opinion but you chose to.

Gees, you lot are pretty sensitive.  This is social media, everybody can have an opinion, sheez, settle petals.
Hahaha, I do like your sense of humour

Normally if something is your opinion you state it as that, you follow it up with something like IMHO (in my humble opinion). When you state something like you did without saying it's just your opinion it reads like a claim you are making, note a baseless opinion.

So when we read it and it read as a claim, people will want to find out how you know this to be the case.

Geez, for a minute I thought I was on Facebook not MySwag but then I noticed there were no ads for "mature singles"

I hate those ads, I'm neither mature or single ;D

Opinions are like arseholes, everyone's got one but it doesn't mean they have to be aired.

What are you on?  You can’t be serious.  Are you also the forum’s grammar and spelling nazi?  Or just a self appointed moderator?  Oh and before you get your knickers in a knot, I should add one of those little smiley faces so you know it is a joke but can’t work it out yourself.  Whoops, need another smiley face.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion. This is social media, it is nothing but opinions.  Have I broken a forum rule by voicing my opinion?

In the short time I have been a member, I have read several of your responses on here where you have voiced/written/aired your opinions and nobody has jumped down your throat.

I am entitled to express my opinion, you are entitled to express yours.

But as you did not express your opinion, and chose instead to challenge mine, I believe the convention is that the onus is now upon you to disprove mine, not for me to prove anything.

Back to you champ.
OK "champ", ALL of the following is just my opinion but seeing as I appeared to have upset you I will attempt to clarify.
In order to assist a fellow myswagger who asked a question I suggested that he have a look at a YouTube clip to help him make a decision, you then made a comment to question the integrity of my advice. I was NOT challenging your opinion, I was simply asking you to clarify what appeared to me as a cheap shot at a fairly successful youtuber, who I feel is fairly open about his sponsorship, he has it all displayed on his vehicle and trailer and is very open about the fact that he was given the tyres he uses so why wouldn't he be as open about Maxtrax? If you have evidence otherwise I would be happy to see it.
I have no affiliation with Ronny Dahl or his company apart from subscribing to his channel, but prefer to take my hat off to a young bloke that has turned his passion into a successful business  rather than attempt to knock him off his perch.  If you want to see the petal that needs to settle then take a look in a mirror, but please remember this is JUST my opinion and the fact is the OP made his decision back in post #5

geez... I'm really really REALLY sorry I started this thread...

in my industry this same thing happens when someone asks "flat pedals or clipped in?" or "Fox or Rockshox"...

or in computers... "Mac v's PC"

FWIW... I respect opinions from both the assembled brains trust here *and* independent YouTubers like Ronny Dahl.

I'm a grown up. I'm capable of sorting out when someone is praising their sponsor, and when they're telling their opinions based on their experiences.

So now... please let it rest. I bought Maxtrax.

thanks to all that offered their helpful thoughts and feedback.

thank you and good night (well... morning as is the case, but you get the idea)

I decided to save some $$$ and went the Xbulls from eBay and the once I have needed them in the last 2-3 years they did what they were supposed to do, if you aren't doing the kind of 4wding that see's you regularly getting stuck, then I think it's unlikely you are going to get any benefit from your additional spend.

I also have a set of the Xbulls. I've used them a few times in sand and they've worked perfectly and suffered no damage.

Just to confuse the topic...

I have 2 pairs of the recovery tracks BigJules was selling many years ago... been using them a hell of a lot.. mostly to get other people out of trouble on the beaches over here.. every now and then to get out of a muddy hole I managed to get myself in.. they're still going strong.. beginning to show signs of wear and tear after spending many many days in the sun, but by golly.. was it a worthwhile purchase. If I can find them again.. I'll buy 2 more pairs ! Thanks Jules !

Another question, I see that these treads come in different colours, are the orange ones better than the green coloured ones or should I get 1 of each colour? 😀
