Things To Do: Sansouci Puppet Museum
« on: May 20, 2011, 12:44:53 PM »
Relive your childhood memories at the Sansouci Puppet Museum and Gallery at Wilmington in the beautiful Flinders Ranges. The museum is located directly opposite the Post Office and very easy to find.

Sansouci is Australia's only puppet museum where you can see over 1,000 puppets, marionettes and ventriloquist dolls on display. The puppets range in age from 100 years old to present day puppets.

See your favourites like Punch and Judy, Pinocchio and even Shrek and the Muppets.

Owners, Brian and Rosemary Whitehead give guided tours through the museum and are always happy to demonstrate the puppets and encourage everyone to try puppeteering.

The gallery has many items for sale including puppets and marionettes designed and made by Brain, a range of Native American Indian dream catchers and wind chimes made by both Brian and Rosemary and lots of collectables and giftware.
