Traffic Changes in NT
« on: April 05, 2011, 10:16:57 PM »
From Friday's news; Apparently the NT Government has just completed a feasibility study on how to improve traffic flow and better cater for the many international tourists.   Encouraged by the positive results that reducing the maximum speed limit to 130km/hr has had, they are now planning a trial programme where from 2012 cars will now drive on the right hand side of the road.   They have already budgeted for the changes in road signage etc and special cross-overs for the State's borders.   If it is deemed to be a success, phase two of the trial will involve trucks and buses changing over in late 2013.
