AORC Odyssey Shower Tap Enclosure
« on: September 09, 2013, 08:33:42 AM »
The shower tap enclosure in the AORC is very poorly designed (in my opinion) allowing dripping water to pool at the bottom. This eventually causes corrosion of the metal. Just wondering if any owners have done any modifications to enable the water to drain immediately?

The PVC cover surround (lip) is a smaller diameter than the metal cylinder that supports it. Water pools behind the lip of the 'cover' system because it is perfectly sealed to the metal. I accept that the 'perfect' seal is  positive design feature. Hope the poor quality picture shows the problem. Drilling a hole at the bottom of the metal at its lowest point to let water escape is not an option as it does not drain out to the open.

We just wipe it out after we have disconnected the shower when packing up, no rear drama.   8)   Kevin
