Primus hot output stove hose
« on: September 28, 2013, 12:09:33 PM »
Hi Guys,

We are desperate for a replacement hose for the high out out Primus stove (2219). We have been everywhere we can think of and no one has them in stock. This stove has a regulator on the hose.

Happy to travel anywhere in Melbourne. Anyone have any ideas???

Try these

Used them in Sydney so Melbourne should be similar.
Good Luck

If you manage to get a longer hose please post up where from and any part number that it may have. I have this stove also in my drifta kitchen and would rather the gas bottle stay on the camper than on the floor

Considering just getting a new stove!!! We would love a longer lead too. What else does everyone have in their drifta kitchens. We have been really happy with this stove but the lead isn't ideal with the kitchen

I am about to embark on this challenge with my new camper/drifta combo. I am considering plumbing a regulator into a bayonet. Will post pics when I work out a solution.

We have the Primus Deluxe 3 burner - the hose that came with it is only small - and we connected it direct to the gas bottle and kept having dramas with flareups so want to add a regulator on it to avoid this - ultimately we want to leave the gas bottle on the camper trailer out of the way of the kids but trying to find a longer hose or even an adapter to connect two is a mission - the end that goes into to the stove is different to a braid hoses we bought so if any one knows where to get one made up to a decent length or a easy solution please let me know.

As stated before, these guys have one of the biggest ranges, and NO I don't have any affiliation. Their Products page even has pictures to assist with choice.

The 2219 stove hose also has a regulator on one end. I don't think those hoses will work.  Hopefully primus will help as leaving Tuesday.

Nope we went there yesterday. It's a high output stove so needs the same type of hose but no one seems to stock it

We have had the stove for a few years but it recently broke. Camper trailer onLy new. 6 months old. It seemed to struggle bending at 90deg into the drifta kitchen.

Yeah I have the same problem. So I might invest in a spare hose. Thanks for the heads up. I may ask gameco or the local gas place near me to see if they can somehow make a hose with right angle fitting for me

If they will please let us know as it's a great stove. But we are wondering if it would be best to go back to a low pressure stove that doesn't need regulator

Just so you know low pressure use the regulator. High pressure are the ones without. If I find how to get the elbow fitting and hose I'll post up

As for length, there are regulations as to how long a hose is allowed to be. In this case I don't know the answer, but depending on the application the length varies, high pressure, low pressure, either fixed or portable. All these will govern the allowed length.
Hope this helps.

Well we didn't have any luck. Hubby ended up buying an outdoor connection stove almost the same spec as the primus. Came home and guess what. The hoses are indentical. The outdoor connection also has an option for a 1.5 m hose and regulator.

So is the hose at right angle to the outdoor stove  ? Or is it still a straight fitting?

Hose literally same as primus. In fact the stove seems it too. We fired it up. Same high output
