Hey Bart, if I have 1 suggestion it would be to try and make the gas hose just a touch longer. The longest part of my shower set up was finding a branch low enough to hang the HotTap and still reach the bottle

Bit the bullet and bought one today, it will replace a glind unit that is starting to rust out. No more running the patrol to heat water and annoy the neighbours. , cant wait.

Yeah, that is actually not a bad suggestion Matt. We are currently working on other aspects of the HOTTAP/ accessories to make it better and to make things easier for everyone. I'll see what I can do!

Getting ready to buy and setup a HWS
This has probably been asked before but,
I know how hot the unit will go but can you just run cold through to alleviate installing a mixer tap at the sink.
The way I thought it could work is just use the temp control for cold water and the wind it up for hot water at the sink.
If this is the case what type of flex-pipe would be best from the HWS to the sink/tap?
I was thinking of adding a T outlet from the hot side, 1 to the shower head and 1 to the sink/tap.

Jamie this is basically what I did with mine and I just use ordinary food grade hose the sink. The temp doesn't seem to bother it but I suppose it could depend on how hot you want the water to be

Thanks for getting back to me Bart!

Just so everyone knows, Bart IS responding to the pricing requests, just not publicly, which is completely understandable.

Thanks Rod,
Good to see I am on the right track.
Now just to work out how to make a male gas bayonet to dual female gas bayonet for the HWS and the stove.
It is so much fun adding to a brand new CT.
The Mrs doesn't understand that I am doing it all for her!
She also needs a small 3.5 KV geni, a CTEK dual+Bypass ;D
How do we get a price on the Joolca?

@ Aussie_Chris

Thanks for doing that Chris! Legend. I should actually have mentioned that I have been PM'ing those who are enquiring!

Sorry to anyone that has to wait a few days before I get to the emails it is just crazy busy here at HQ, but I will get to everyone.

If there is anyone that has not received a reply or a PM from me (and has enquired already) please hit me up again just incase :)!

Hey Jamie, you won't be able to run cold water through the unit unless you shut off the gas supply (ie. shut off the gas bottle). But, If I understand correctly, you want to run the unit at 6LPM and then regulate the flow from your tap? If this is the case, this should be fine. Setting the unit to 6LPM (at max gas) gives a water temperature increase of 25C. So, if you decrease flow at the tap down to a minimum of 4LPM, this will heat the water by 35C.

Please keep me posted on how it goes!

@ Rodt & wilson79

Thanks for the input and advice guys! I'm glad this thread is booming and people are jumping in with sound help :) What an amazing community.

Thanks Bart,
looks like I may need to go back to the mixer tap and a hot and cold water feed to it, dual cold water connection from tank/pump and dual hot water outputs from the HWS (1 too mixer, 1 too shower).
would this be the correct setup?
Cheers Jamie.

Cheers Bart.
Picked mine up from the post office today. Haven't opened it yet..
Now I have it. I can work out how to mount it to the rear of the camper.
Going to use it for showers and try to hook it up to the hot water tap on the camper.

Jamie depending on how hot you want your sink water you may still not need to as there is always cold water that runs through the system until it gets hot. It's pretty quick to get hot but for the size of a sink you wouldn't need too much. This worked well for us without the need to run a separate cold water source to the sink.

Experimenting though mate is half the fun ;D
