The old girls Statesman, we had insured for $3,300 with Shannons. (we paid $1,600 for it over 3 years ago) ;D
With the prices since Covid going nuts, this week, we increased it to $5,000, which Shannons were happy to do.
These days, in the event of a write off or stolen, $3,300 buys nothing..... $5,000 doesn't buy a whole lot either.
But, common sense does have to apply a little bit.
So, have a look at what you have ya cars/campers/vans/boats etc insured for and see what you buy for the money.
You might be shocked, with what the standard of the next one would be, if the current one was stolen or ploughed in the traffic.
No need to thank me.... just send money for the Zephyr build..... Marvin will love you for it. (So will i)

Yeah, bugger all with Shannons.
We have the Fleetwood, Statesman, box trailer and house with them.

Its got 330,000 on the clock now, and while it looks ok, its a bit tired.
The engine has 280,000 on it, as it got a new motor by GM when the old one had piston rattle at 50,000klm.
Pretty common thing back then.
Plus, ya got to be a little bit fair.
The Fleetwood is insured for $43,000..... not my fault my car's a better thing.... that's what i tell Astrid. ;D

Got my insurance renewal from Shannons the other day for the Pajero. Decreased the agreed value by 15.6%, kindly reduced the premium by 2.9%
