I did say I thought 10 was a good package number with campers, But no reason why 15-20 could not do it if majority are vehicle based. and if we get 25 names then prob 50% conversion to starters is not out of reality.

Due to SWMBO father passing away recently, we have decided to take SWMBO mother to UK & Europe for a well earned rest and to visit the relos in old London town in August next year. Unfortunately we can not afford to go to the Simpson :'(

Well as I said last year when this first came about that we were only a chance to come along and I would assess it early this year.
Our biggest hurdle is the $$$$$ but so much happens in life in such a short time that I still can't rule the trip out or definitely rule us in for certain at this stage. So ill have to re-assess it again mid year or when such a time comes that Jet needs a definite answer.
I need to put a new radiator in the Patrol and new shockys (my shockys are totally stuffed now), besides that we shouldn't need to buy any big ticket items except for the trip itself so I am confident we can make this happen. My wife is not so sure ;)
Anyway just an update as to where we are at. I see there is still quite a list so it will be one big convoy if everyone goes :)

Unfortunately we're going to have to give this a miss now, due to my sister being due to spit out a kid in September ( NSW ) and my best mate getting married in October ( S.A ) then BIL getting married in March 2015 ( NSW ). Somewhere in the middle we may be taking over another business also, so it's going to be a tad hectic

Hi all, unfortunately due to an unforseen family commitment we will not be able to do the trip on the above dates. :'(However we can still do the Simpson, but the dates will be early August. ;D I would like to find someone else who may be interested to have a second vehicle and company along the way. :cheers:
So I am wondering if there is anyone who is not doing the Myswag late August trip who is interested in early August and possibly doing the trip the other way around, possibly from Oodnadatta to Mt Dare to Birdsville.
As my wife has spent up big for this crossing, tent, mattresses, recovery tracks etc, there is no way I am game to cancel it. :angel:
