Landcruiser 80 Series Petrol Clutch Replacement
« on: December 12, 2013, 07:21:33 AM »
Hi All,

Anybody replaced a clutch in an 80 Series 4.5 ltr Petrol.  Would be interested in what brand, who by and cost. Apparently it is a big job with about 5-6 hours labour. Toyota here in Canberra is quoting me around $840 for the kit and $635 for labour - so a total of around $1475.  Other brake and clutch service places here in Canberra are quoting similar with up to $1800 for a heavy duty 4WD clutch and rear main seal replacement.

At a rough guess
Clutch $400-500 maybe $700 for a 4 terrain from Repco
5 hours at $90
Flywheel machine $90
Rear mains $40
Spigot $20
Gear oil and clutch fluid

Try and find a quote from a 4wd specialist I reckon $1200 max but hopefully a little cheaper.
Good luck.
