Spent the last few days in the East Macs. Stayed a couple of nights at the Trephina Gorge campground. Had planned to stay longer but a tem moved in yesterday to work on the campsite. Most of the site is closed off for next few days.
Enjoyed trip up to Arltunga Historical Reserve (old gold mining town). Called in to Ross River Resort where there is a camping ground $36 for two a night. Not surprisingly almost no one camping there.
Interesting track to N'Dhala Gorge Nature Park. Road fairly rough, quite a few river crossings but none deep. Small, deserted, campground at road end. Short walk up the gorge to view rock carvings - petroglyphs.
