Wondering what non factory things had been fitted to the car and had sub standard wiring practices done .. Mentioned electrical smell smoke, vapour and Gas lines on fire in the article  .. Faulty LPG fitment ? maybe .

Nope, Nissan is exactly the same a Jeep now!!!

One specific build year on one specific model means that all Nissans ever made are fireballs waiting to happen.

You probably do, but photos of the same model get a bit boring after a while.
It's much better when a manufacturer can manage to make the whole product range ignite.... ;D

Had a few to choose from with the pathfinders.
The stories where pretty much the same in the US and the UK, but the pictures are very nice in this one.... :)

These ones might have a stupid name, but apparently they like to explode while parked in driveways just as easily as Pathfinders...

There's no Great Evil conspiracy against consumers within engineering, manufacturing and supply. Just the many tradeoffs incurred to satisfy diverse tastes, priorities and wallets. But first comes all the insatiable Gummint eggsperts, nanny-staters and usual suspects.

The initial news story was pretty tragic for the family involved.
But the rest was all in good fun....  ;D

Us Jeep owners have thick skin, those Nissan owners are a bit of a delicate bunch though. ;)
