Oztent CR2 ensuite tent
« on: April 25, 2017, 08:50:44 AM »
After many years of faithful service my CR2 ensuite tent has busted a couple of poles and is headed for the dump.  :'(
Been looking around to get another one a can't find one anywhere. Does anyone know if they are still available?

If not what's the next best thing? Still want a pop up, not something that has a hundred poles....
Cheers, John.

I like the look of the Joocla tent, but it's not cheap https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=p10xYCuiTPE

Try and get a close look at the Coleman Instant Up,  but the gold model, its a good bit of kit.
Stay safe and play fair.

I'm looking at a mob call 'Alucab'. If you go to the Drifta website, they have them on their new trailer. Pretty good idea and is ready in 30 seconds. Not sure of the price, but could easily be adapted to any CT I think.

I don't have a CT but I use my ute. Looking to mount it to the roof rack on the drivers side.

Just a thought.  ::)
Cheers

I think the trick to the oztent ones being so good is the fibreglass poles

If its any help, I have a CR1 sitting in the shed not doing much, happy to sell to you!

I've got a CR1 but find it too small. The CR2 was the perfect size.

Not yet mate. I've messaged Luke at Drifta and the Alucab mob.

Looks like an easy set up. I'm thinking about a slide system so that it's sits away from the ute body. Gotta get my hands on one first to work out the final product.

I'd be keen to hear the results of this! Looks like a great idea and easy!, is it the Alucab product or did Luke come up with the idea?

Punter, not sure. Luke does say that he found the product from alucab.

When I get some more info I'll start a new thread for those interested.
