As MySwag has over 14500 members and we all come from all walks of life and vary in age it would be interesting to see what age group the majority of members are in.
I have made the poll so you can change to a different age group.
Mods could they make this a sticky thread.

Awesome idea Mark!

Is that the age I think I am or the age of the guy looking at me in the mirror each morning?

Your age is dependant of the age of the woman you feel isn't it? That mean I loose a few years! :-)

We are in the 2nd last group but by no means grey nomads, we are still working full time and do not have time to be grey nomads lol.

+ GST Swannie ;D ;D

The joints are worn the body bent and battered, the donk is still ticking over pretty good and the upholstery is a bit tattered for its 50 + years of abuse, but that said this old work horse can still out do most young bucks....
-
Looks like speewa is going to be the only one in the 70 - 80 range ;D
-
Like the idea of being " very mature and wise" but I'm afraid it is crap.
-
+ GST Swannie ;D ;D
New Zealand gst ;D ;D

One year till I'm a grey nomad. Might have to dye my hair grey in that case.

Happy Easter.

I might grow old but I will never grow up...pull my finger ;D

I don't regard myself as a "grey nomad" more of a "silver fox" that can't hunt as quick as I used to ;D

I'm 60 but I'm definitely not an FGN (Freaking, or something similar, grey nomad) so I refuse to select a box ;D No, No, No, I'll quietly sob myself to sleep tonight because of your definition of my age group.

Just turned 40...... isn't that when life is meant to begin!
Might be almost time to take up lawn bowls ;D :D
-
It just didn't seem real until I looked at the spread of age groups and realised I was in the middle!
Middle age hey, time to start living it up!!!
-
Just turned 40. The wife is still in her 30's. Not much grey hair yet, but am starting to feel nomad urges.... :-)
-
Grey hairs aren't just starting to appear, they at well and truly here at 47....
-
I don't care what age group I am in as long as I don't have to act my age.
However, that said, I like the sound of "mature and wise".
Bill
-
Only as old as the woman you feel..... So the saying goes..
But my wife is older.... Screwed either way!
Good thing we are still young at heart..

lol.......:-)
Speaking from somewhere in between, it could be said that every old fart was once a young moron in someone's eyes. And to every young moron, this is what you've got to look forward too:-)
-
I was a young moron once - did absolutely stupid things in cars during the 1960s - but didn't crash one. Now 68 and drive quite carefully although not all the time off road. Try to understand the new breed of young morons and not judging them - it was me then - them now.

I agree. I'm a SOFA member of long standing.
Consider myself bloody lucky to be here at all for the last 13 years ... :).

Go the Not really 50 yet ;D

I chose 30-40 because I'm 35, however he's almost 43 and I must admit I have more than a few grey hairs apprearing already. Kids are 10 and 12 pretty much, but the camper we brought is the one that we'll take into retirement :)

I'm with you Steven!
I am 36 and the greys started appearing a couple of years ago so feeling ripped off. That been said the wife is younger ;D and as I always say; boys don't grow up, we just get better toys :cup:
-
I just slipped into the next age group, must make me officially an "OLD FART" ;D
-
I'm a little over 50, the Princess a little under.
I describe myself as Mature Blonde. Old enough to know better young enough not to care and smart enough not to get caught.
Cheers
GregP
-
Nearly 60, 59 actually, transitioning to grey nomad and hoping to retire in 4 years.
-
We get all age groups here at Kilcowera Station. I know many of them use this forum too. Probably the 50 to 65 year age bracket would be the largest group though. Starting to get more young families through. Cheers
-
As we get Older we get more experience in life . Our brain is fed more & more information so it increases in size . Sadly your head remains the same size .
As such the grey matter is under pressure from your HUGE BRAIN so it is forced out through your skull replacing your hair . Grey Hair = Huge Brain
or its like the filing cabinet thing , stuff things in the front & it falls out the back .
Ummmmmmmm
-
I'm 50 and my wife is 46..... Ever repeat that to her and she will ensure they never find your corpse :P

It appears I've now joined the most popular age bracket :'(

I don't think it has anything to do with age, but I can't remember whether I answered the poll in the first place! Consequently, I don't know if I am one of the two OBE's. I was 81 yesterday. Could the pollmaster please let me know whether I responded? Thank you. I read the unread posts every morning and am sure to learn something every day. Cheers

If you have voted your choice should be in bold text compared to all the other categories. You can also edit your choice as we all seem to gain a bit each year ;D

Hi All, I am 52 and my wife Donna is 45 and we still polish the work bench together every couple of days or every day some times if Am catching mud crabs for my lovely darling, I am still fishing and hunting and working and heading up the Cape in August for a month or 6 week so life is great, Craig
-
Just had to change my group,
Gone up a notch to the 50 to 60 years old....the "very mature and wise"group 8)
Sounds impressive, doesn't it ;D
-
Just updated - gee, I only get to do that once more.
"Distinguished" though is doubtful, "Gentleman" is highly improbable.
cheers

Growing up is optional ;D

I'm now over 2 years older from when I first did this and now in the distinguished category.
-
I just updated my vote, to the grey nomad group. I might start reverse grey haired nomading and go south for summer. ;D

Definitely me too.

I can't see the poll options. I am using Tapatalk on an iPad. If this can't be explained, I'll go with plain text. I am 61 years young ( feel no more than 28, but when I was 28, felt like 61, different wife, different life ). My lovely other half has just hit 60. We are now officially retired, and our grand kids are in their 20's . Time to start travelling, and getting to meet like minded folk.

I decided to "update" my vote as I moved groups a few years ago
-
I don’t know how acurate the group descriptions are. I’m in the 30-40yr group and the grey hairs have definitely started :-[

GG should reset it back to zero and start again

Removed vote and updated it, now I am apparently a grey nomad. Might be a bit grey but definitely not a nomad yet. Wish I could be though

Still a little over 13,500 members yet to "vote"
Come on people, we won't tell! ;D

I'm over this getting older crap.
Must of been the dumpest(yeah I know there has been plenty) crap I've every said.
When I get older.

Lloyd, bottom left, below the displayed vote box, there should be a "Remove Vote" button.
Click that, it'll delete your previous vote & you can go again.
-
Also seems that only 1400 odd members of the 14’000+ have voted
On that, the member list http://www.myswag.org/index.php?action=mlist;sort=posts;start=0;desc (http://www.myswag.org/index.php?action=mlist;sort=posts;start=0;desc) says we have 21856 members :cup:
However, something like 13500 of them have never posted :'(
~1500 have 1 post only
another ~3500 under 5
~1000 under 10
& only ~1200 have over 100 posts :'(
(& yeah, I know those figures don't add up to 21856, but I CBF checking them further ;D)
I guess lot's of people have signed up, found the answer to the question they were looking for, then left again, without even saying G'day ??? :'(
-
Changed my vote I've been Distinguished for some time now, but I knew that. :D
