My Foil with a set of Zipp 404 Weaponry on it. It's not lite but it doesn't matter anymore, as I'm not a youngin and racing at the Elite level now.  8)

The Early Bird special is only AU$2800, which is 40% off, so ~$5k ;D

Plus, of course, getting it out here from the US!

Bit the bullet and bought a Shimano 600 Tricolour groupset for the 90s Paconi Columbus frame I bought ages ago. This stuff is worth more now than what I paid for it in the 90s.

This will be the 2nd COVID lockdown retro build, although I've seen a nice Bianchi that might be number 3 >:D

It's worth more, because people realize how good it is. I have a whole Shimano bike, by that I mean the frame is also Shimano.  ;D It's just to small for me to ride = 21" frame.  :'(

Nice.  I'd be more than happy with a sub 8kg bike.

Nice, was it a promo bike where Shimano branded the frame?

To be honest, I don't know, because it was the right size for my wife and she bought it. Still have the high pressure 27" wheels for it also. It cost her $350 in about 83/84 but it won't be parted with for under that now.  ;)

That's what my Track bike is worth + some more to replace.  ;D Wheels are $7000 and frame = $2000+.

Just before the 200 km CancerRide in Perth for the Harry Perkins Institute, I dropped off my bike for a service.
Luckily I got it back on the day before. :-)
New chainring, chain, cassette, bottom bracket.

It is now riding like a new bike.
Still looking for another one, but either no supply or too expensive.

Don't discount buying 2nd hand. All of the bikes that I have are all 2nd hand and I've saved thousands of $$$$ with them.

Ok Brainstrust, I need help. Wifey's Aldi29er is about to be turned into scrap metal. When I purchased the bike I stole the cassette, derailleur, shifter and chain and put it on the sons' Trek. The 9 speed stuff from the Trek went on the Aldi as a 1x9 setup. Thought I'd shout her anew wide range 9speed 11-40 cassette. Shimano Atlus derailleur couldn't handle the extra range so I ordered a MicroShift Advent derailleur and Shifter.  It's suppose to handle up to a 46t cog. Installed it with a new correctly sized chain. Had to put in a longer b Screw to get enough adjustment out of it, and with the low screw wound all he way out, or removed, it will just shift  into the largest but it's not happy.
What am I doing wrong?????? If I can't get it to happily shift up to a 40t gear how was ever going to handle a 46t cog?
HELP..........
Cheers, Mike.
