Stayed at the Cobb & Co.  Helpful service.. Large park caters for all types, tents to motor homes, with two clean amenities blocks, laundry.. Set up camper one trip, and used a cabin ( very clean and comfortable), another trip. Close to the town center.
Word of warning, not too many takeaways open at night if you get peckish..

We've stayed at the Bailey Bar a few times.  Had some pleasant nights with passing musicians there. Only downside was one night when we could hear dogs barking a few blocks away - and they wouldn't bloomin' stop!   Fairly small sites but they help you get in.

Do mean to try the Red Lizard but haven't got there yet.

And yeah, we did go looking for food one night and the only shop open was the truck stop.....

There is a take-a-way/cafe opposite the high school that stays open until about 8:00pm. Good food and yes.... Apart from the servo.... It's the only one that opens late that I know of

The nicest one we have used is the Charleville Bush Caravan Park, just out of town, but it doesn't have a pool. It does have star gazing beds (heated if preferred), and a communal fire pit that they encourage people to get together around at night. There are a few conditions though, they won't allow smoking or pets in the park which suited us fine. Large drive through sites, great people, shade, quiet, and good clean amenities. We will certainly stay there again.
