WikiCamps onto SD Card
« on: April 20, 2017, 03:03:52 PM »
Hi all

I have just purchased a new Isuzu MUX with Satellite navigation. The screen can be used for a lot of different purposes, including connecting other devices. For example, you are able to insert an SD card into it.

My question is, is it possible to download wikicamps app (including all my favourites etc.) and upload this to a sd card? If so, I could then put the SD card into the MUX and have wikicamps on my screen.

Not sure if this is possible at all? Anyone done anything similar?

Thanks

Not likely, even if the unit had an android os its unlikely it would run without an online connection.

Well I noticed you CAN download offline content from WikiCamps to an SD card (straight from the app on your mobile), so it looks like it is possible?

But you may be right.

Anyone tried this or know for sure?

Hi,
With out Internet the photos will be low resolution. The Open Street Map will be your only available map but it may talk to Sygig if you have it installed, or even the navigator native to the vehicle.
Cheers

You can download several apps that once installed force other apps to install onto the sd card instead of tbe device. That may work fkr you

You MAY be able to download offline content to an SD card, but that doesn't include the program itself. Unless your head unit runs Android, IOS or Windows you're out of luck.
Cheers, John.
