4WD Discrimination
« on: August 04, 2014, 10:25:40 PM »
My brother recently brought an JF Cruiser, he's loving the car, but isn't a big fan of the inequality & discrimination that 4wd's suffer every day.

Day after he picked it up, drove to work, and found that  it didn't fiti into the car park, then there was this, he emailed it through today...

I had me first case of vehicle discrimination on the weekend, tried to take the car through the BP automatic was and the princess behind the counter told me that my racks may damage the machine and I wouldn’t be able to us it.
Now I can full understand what a victimised portion of society the oversized 4wd’s are. Its a sad state when even in Qld a bloke can’t get his car washed.

What makes it so funny, his vehicle is still stock, no lift, tyres, standard roof rails etc...

Time to share stories...

My rights at shopping centers are trampled on daily as I can't fit under the underground car parks to be in the shade (2" lift and roof racks don't help). :'( :'( :'(

Every time there is a car accident reported on TV, they always say 'Between two cars' unless of course one of those was a 4wd - then there is a special mention that it was between 'A 4wd and another car'.

Their just Bloody Jealous of our ability to stand out from the crowd . Every carpark or carwash you cant get in to tells you that you have the ability to go where no man has gone before . To see things 2WD drivers may never see , & return to their drab black topped world with traffic lights .       :cup:
Any wonder we are discriminated against  >:(

nah, I like to stand out from the crowd, Toyota's a bit too common these days. Did consider an FJ, but no diesel. Currently investigating a new Dmax, but will stick with the Jeep for now.

Lets keep it PG rated, no need to go overboard with illegal 6" lifts that aren't engineered.

Truck drivers have been copping this sort of flack for eons. There was a story once where there was an accident involving a truck and 12 cars. Turned out one of Ron Finemore's car carriers went off the road. No other cars involved except the ones it was carrying. It all comes down to the reporting.
