ridge rider battery charger
« on: August 03, 2015, 07:36:50 PM »
Hi all, im wanting to buy a battery  charger to charge a portable  battery  to go in my ute tub to run a fridge and to charge  a deep cycle  battery  in my camper, would a 20 amp ridge  rider charger do the same job as a ctekd250s dual?  looking to save a few $$$ if possible.

If you are just looking at the DC to DC charger for $149 without solar input I would be a bit concerned with the output up to 16.2volts, personally I would go for the CTEK as it is a proven charger.

I bought one from here

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CTEK-D250S-DUAL-DC-TO-DC-BATTERY-SOLAR-CHARGER-12V-VOLT-CAR-SYSTEM-BONUS-RELAY-/400968908993?hash=item5d5b9c00c1

I think it is also questionable whether one charger would be up to the job?
