Hi
« on: July 19, 2011, 12:49:52 PM »
We are a family of 5 from Sydney and we are planning a big trip to WA when husby's job finishes up next April.

We've quickly realised that we'll need a 4wd to get to all the good spots and after heaps of research it looks like a soft floor camper trailer will suit us and our budget the best.

While I've done a bit of outback travel and we both like camping we are basically total noobs and have heaps to learn.

Looking forward to getting to know you all as we do our research, it looks like a nice friendly forum and there is certainly heaps of good info here.

Cheers
Tina

Thanks for the welcomes guys  :D

Discoteddy we'd  really love a 4.2 diesel patrol but geez the newer ones with low kms cost a bomb!! We may have to go with a smaller engine or a petrol/gas.

Honestly, I'm not sure which way to go, we could sure buy a lot of petrol with the difference in purchase, but I'm not convinced we'll get the range we want without carrying petrol in jerry's and I'm a bit worried about that.
