Hello to all fellow travellers
« on: June 14, 2012, 05:33:14 PM »
We have been actively looking around this great website for quite a while. We thought it was time introduce ourselves
Jeff and I are dairy farmers from south west Victoria and have been planning a trip to cape York with our daughter and her husband and 3 grandchildren.  We will be a group of five vehicles leaving Cairns the 1st July.  We are towing a modified alloy extreme GIC off road camper with a NS Pajero also modified.
I was speaking with Mark on the phone a week ago and he took me from cairns to the tip - I wish I  had recorded the conversation it was a wonderful insight to the whole experience.  Thanks Mark maybe we come across you all on your travels back from the cape.  Have a wonderful safe and happy trip.  BOY are we starting to countdown the hours now - we leave victoria on the 23rd june so not long to go now
Cheers

G'Day JeffnBarb,

To MySwag.
It would seem it will get quiet crowded on the top this year with all the trips planned to get to the Top End.
Good onya's. Jealous, very much  ;D
Happy & Safe travels.

Thank you for your welcomes
Barb here I am a bit concerned with the conditions of the track but I am sure that with the crew that is going with we will be fine.
Jeff has worked hard to get the camper ready for the trip. We have taken a lot of your suggestions and put them into practise.
This the first big trip with our camper, we usually take the caravan, so I think it will envolve a lot more dirt roads than usual
We will definitely try to keep you posted with trip and get some photos up of it.
Cheers
