G'day from Tassie
« on: March 12, 2014, 01:15:41 PM »
Hello to all from Richmond in Tasmania. New to camper trailers although have experience with tent camping. I'm currently taking my time and researching as widely as possible before purchasing a camper trailer. Took early retirement a couple of years ago and intend to spend more time travelling Oz with my much better half.
Just returned from the caravan and camping show in Melbourne where I was given the name of this site and a couple of others. The knowledge that I have already gained from reading threads on this site has helped enormously.  Look forward to reading more threads and picking the brains of the experienced campers out there.

Cheers Dave

Welcome to myswag Dave.  I researched for more than 12 months before taking the plunge. Good luck.

Happy camping

Welcome Dave, great to have you on board.  Lots of great info and friendly people here, so feel free to ask as many questions as you need.  Agree with your idea of take your time and do your research.  We spent 3 years in total researching for ours and very happy with our final pic, but we walked away from 3 others that we also liked.

Hi Dave,
Have a browse thru the Go See OZ website, especially Shop Online where links to many camper trailer manufacturers are available. Other sections are very useful & informative.

Safe travelling

Welcome to the forum Dave. Don't believe a word Mace says. He bumped his head at a get together and hasn't been quite right since ;)

Unless of course he's talking about that DannyG bloke, then yeah he is a bit odd

Welcome to the forum Dave, much like yourself I've picked up quite a bit from these boffins ;) and only just got a camper trailer myself.

Good luck with the hunt and great to see another Tassie southerner on here  :cup:
