Hello all...
« on: October 15, 2012, 12:49:27 PM »
G'day,
My name is Andrew and I just wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself, and pass on my thanks to the moderators for allowing me to be part of this wonderful community. My family and I are new to the 4WD / Camping scene, having finally got our GU Patrol and recently finished all the mods, along with our Conqueror UEV 440 to get as far out of mobile reception as possible.

Looking forward to being part of discussions and meeting new friends.

Cheers,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Don't forget to ask lots of questions.

We looked seriously at the Conquerer however SWMBO is short and would not be able to see what was cooking in the saucepan as the kitchen was very high (funnily enough I didn't notice this :D)

G'day Andrew & Family

To Myswag,
That's what I love about camping away from main towns and the like, NO contact with the outside world.
It cracks me up to see campers pull up somewhere and the first thing they check is their mobile phones reception.
Anyway, Hope you enjoy your time here.
Happy & Safe travels.

Hi Andrew and welcome to My Swag, My user name is duggie and I come from up on the Atherton Tablelands. Up here in North Queensland there is a fair crew of Myswaggers and we as a group try to have a get-together a couple of times each year.

Next one coming up on the first weekend of Dec, http://www.myswag.org/index.php?topic=25041.0

I have pasted another a link from this forum for you to have a look at and if interested.

Welcome Andrew.  Your setup sounds great.  Where are the photos????

And I'm with Hairs.  Love watching people set up but laugh even harder when they worry about the TV aerial before pegging down the annex.  For my family, camping is about getting away from the things that bog us down on a daily basis like the TV and the mobile.

Enjoy your travels.
