Somewhere I havent camped in 40 odd years but would love to go back to - First Crossing Sofala. Just hope its as nice as I remember...

Hope to get back there to search for my 3rd great grandmothers grave. Died at Ration Hill & buried at Sofala October 1852 aged around 32. Not much hope there were not a lot of headstones. They were mining at Ration Hill, pretty tough existence most dwellings were canvas & if lucky some tin. Could only imagine what the winters were like.

Excellent work :cup:

When we moved in to our current place, there were 38 palms, ranging from 50' tall Alexandras down to bloody Chinese Fan Palms.

25 yrs ago I planted probably 38  palms......nothing like having the tropics look when you aren't in the tropics !!

We’re not actually camping in the back yard but we’re having roast pork on the Weber and a fire tonight. It’s a far cry from our original Easter weekend destination of Woodgate Beach but we’re making the best of it! Cheers Swaggers!

Bendigo has an enormous one going back to the mining days.  some of the ages are really sad... not many people got middle aged let alone old

Nah it certainly wasn’t cool tonight but it made for a nice ambience and the kids love a fire

And then there where three.
The glowing campfire from the hammock was cool.
