apple TV doesn't allow you to do that...
it allows you to install TV apps like plus7, abc iview, tenplay as well as apps like netflix, amazon prime, kayo, stan, etc...
don't think of it like a normal TV set top box... it's just a medium for accessing streaming services... more like your smartphone that a set top box...
normal TV channels have their own apps for live and catchup TV and these can be installed on the apple TV...

Apple TV is just a box that streams the internet to your TV - so if you want the normal terrestrial TV channels, then you need an aerial as normal.
If you're happy to watch everything via the broadcaster's on demand services, then you won't need an aerial.
Personally, we just use a laptop connected via the HDMI cable to the TV to do the same thing, and watch things via websites (Red Bull TV and the catch up offerings).

Telstra TV has an inbuilt digital TV tuner for FTA as well as streamed content.

Thanks All
My aerial connection is on the other side I f the room.
I only want to watch the normal TV for All for Adventure, Mr4x4.
I have a smart Tav that have the normal pay on demand apps, but could not see the normal TV streaming apps, will look again for them.
Regards

Fetch mighty does normal FTA TV, catchup TV and the other Movie apps. But the best bit is the 1TB? HDD to record up to 3 programs at any one time. That's a heap of TV, I've had in excess of 100 recordings, with some of those as serials with 12 or more episodes in each. You can also set series tags so that it will automatically record them as they air on TV.
