Voyeur from Sydney with his new Adventure camper
« on: October 30, 2011, 08:48:51 PM »
Hi all. So after spending 20 + years of camping in a tent and 10 years of dreaming about owning a CT one day, permission was finally granted from the boss.

After lots of visits to camping shows, inviting my self to people's camp sites on our travels and hiring some CT's (highly recommended for those trying to choose) we finally settled on the Adventure camper.

Having been a voyeur to this site for a long time you have all been a great source of information and ideas helping with this decision even if you didn't know. Thanks!

So after lots of hunting finally got hold of a 2nd hand one in South Australia. Now the reason I have not posted a great picture of the new toy is that I am halfway back to Sydney sitting by the side of the Murrumbidgee river giving it its first use writing this post (the wonders of iPads and 3G!).

I am sure I will have lots to share in the future and lots more to learn from you all. It would
be great to get replies from any other Adventure Camper owners to chat more.

Jaysea

Got the new toy home in one piece.  Not enough time for fishing last night but I am sure there will be plenty of that to come.

As i am not at work tomorrow it looks like a good opportunity for my first improvement (yes I know I have only had it for 2 days!).  Plan is to strip back the support bars where there has been some stone chip damage. Prevention now easier than a major fix later.

Will have to set up a post in the rig build up at some point.

Hi Jaysea, Welcome to my swag. That looks like a Pilbara model? Good to see another adventure camper out there. We bought ours secondhand  as well.
I have taken the waeco out of the camper as I could not keep it cool in the hotter months. I sold the waeco and bought a trailblaza put that in the back of the Triton.
They are a very well built camper. The stone guard is a great setup as well.

  Happy Camping      Ray
