G'day & Welcome Wally.

Can one presume you're towing it with an FJ Cruiser?

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
still getting it sorted and too dark this morning for good pic but here it is in basic form.
Never used one of these before so a real learning experience.
Took it for a dry run yesterday just to get the hang of putting it up so I would not embarrass myself too much with my mates on cup weekend - was well worth it as had no idea when I started - kind of get it now but have to sort out a better system for the external poles - they have several different lengths and not well marked so thats the first challenge - maybe some diff coloured electrical tape or a few different cans of spray paint.

And YES - I will be the proud new owner of a shiny new FJ CRUISER in a little over a weeks time - hopefully fitted out in time for the cup weekend or I will have to tow the camper in my Great Wall which is not ideal but it will get there.

Heading up to near Strathmerton on the VIC side of Murray - a great beach up there and a pretty good crowd gathers quite often.

went there at Easter also but hoping it is not as busy as that weekend.

Was born and raised in Deniliquin(Parents still live there- 4th generation) but have lived in Melbourne East for past 20 odd years - last 16 with my lovely wife and two boys 11 and 6 - The camper is my attempt to get us out and about more together and see this awesome country we have rather than put all our coin into big expensive holidays to other countries(although I like that too).
Have to set the camper up to a good level of comfort to get the better half keen on this type of adventuring.
First goal is to do a central Aus trip towards the end of next year and maybe join it with the FJ cruiser first national SUMMIT in Sept.

Hey Wally,

Looking forward to seeing that CT behind the new FJ.

I know quite a few blokes who have been waiting seemingly ever for theirs to turn up.

Have a great time with it.

Thanks Nomad - it's seriously like having a child - even have to wait the gestation period before it's born.

It's close now - each day it becomes more and more real.
