G'day all,
(And a special hello to any other fellow Camel lovers/owners!)
Having been on the bottom of the camping food chain for many a year (ie 'tenters'), we've taken the mind boggling journey many of have already travelled, and bought our first CT (see even got the lingo right).
We'd been casually looking for about 3 years and always had our sights on a Complete Campsite mainly due to the step up/walk in bed access that makes the tent area that much bigger and bearable camping with the 3 mites (3, 5 & 7y/o). We hadn't been looking that hard and it was only when we went to the Sandown show a few weeks ago that we discovered alot of the CT's now offer that design. We actually went with the intention of checking out a POD trailer and tossing up between one of them and a second hand Complete Campsite, but after walking through the Camel Group campers, we were really taken aback by the quality, features, price etc. (Special hello to GU Johnno!).
Anyway cut a short story long, ater going back and forth between other CT makers and the Camel, we just couldn't find fault with it... So we're expecting delivery in a few more weeks (another hello to GU Johnno).
Cheers all, from the soon to be father of a Camel! (AKA 'LJ')
PS Did I mention about GU Johnno and the good work he does?? :cup:

Yeah a 97 GQ 2.8TD...
You'll see me on the side of an up hill road one day, with the bonnet up! Head complete cracked (mine as well), 5th gear shredded, 3 kids and a wife screaming... :'(

Always late in a 2.8 :D

Top choice LJ,
Im sure you will be as rapt with yours as we are with ours'

Completely agree with you regarding the "quality, features, price etc" of the Camel camper trailers. We (Mum, Dad, 3yo and 1yo) bought a custom Camel Beachcomber in April and have done 8 trips totalling 32 nights so far - fantastic piece of equipment.

Hi LJ, we have a 2007 Camel Discovery and we love it. They are quality trailers and im sure you will be happy with yours.

G'day Morgo. Yeah we're really looking forward to picking it up. Apart from the excitement of having a new toy, I'm thrilled about the fact that we'll be going away more often. With three kids and the minimum amount of stuff we take, packing the GQ (with roof rack) takes a fair while as it's jigsaw precision with all the crates/bags/sleeping bags etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc. We'll be able to leave a fair amount in it and just chuck the clothes and food in at the last minute.
Our camping check list is about to become a lot shorter!
