I recently missed 4 work days due to flooding, normally staff are required to report to their nearest branch but we were cut off completely.

Was able to take sick leave, then rec leave but if neithe available it was leave without pay. Luckily I have 100 SL days.

Thank God for public service conditions, but in saying that after 24 years of working in PS I have more sick leave then long service leave so I don't abuse my privileges ... :)
