There's a good camp called Oma Waterhole, just outside Isisford, that has dunnies and hot showers for $5 a night. Pay at the local store. Some good yellow belly in there, too. (Not the store, the waterhole)

We had that whole site to ourselves a few years back.

Just made it into town before they officially closed the flooded bridge into town. When we signed in at the council offices they said the whole spot was ours. The main camping area was well and truly under water and we had to camp right up on the top of the ridge.

The only thing better then watching the storms roll in every afternoon was laying the hammock right beside the mighty Barcoo in full flood all day.
Didn’t manage to bag any yellow belly, but was an awesome place to spend a week or so.

Westonia, WA. The caravan park here is tiny and full  but you can camp at the Rec Centre for five bucks. Worth that for the shower, which I needed.  ;D

Hey Pete, auto correct gazumped me again

Are you staying at the 'Royal' in Rosedale?
Hi Steffo, was going to, but all the warning light on my dash came on again, (after a couple of years), so heading straight to Bundy to get it sorted.
Can thoroughly recommend the Reef CP here, nice and relaxing.
Cheers.

Stayed at Elachbutting Rock in WA’s eastern wheatbelt yesterday.
A magic place.
Made better by the installation of a flushing toilet which was wrapping up as I arrived.
Shire of Westonia foreman said the old enviro long drop was maintenance intensive because people used it as rubbish disposal. There are no bins so why not  stick rubbish in the long drop?
But guess what? The brand new loo was blocked this morning.
It may have been a technical problem but I’d bet somebody put  something in it they  shouldn’t have.
Some people.
It’s 120km from Westonia for whoever gets to clean up the mess.

Thanks Steffo,
got to Rosedale/ Gig Gin road junction and battery was down to about 6 volts and was worried the ECM would shut down, the tacho had already stopped, the speedo bounced when I used the brakes, so called out the RACQ, first time in 14 years!!, he hooked up a jump pack so I could drive the 1.1 Km to Oakdale caravan park. He tightened the neg clamp with a drill driver, and by the time I got to CP the lights were out and the alternator was charging again ????.
This morning I took it to a workshop and they said it is charging good and battery is ok, although I know taking a battery down so low is doing damage. The batt is two yrs old so dont expect it to last the year out.
Caught up with my mate Noel, who was one of my main customers when I worked for Detroit, and want to see Russell and Troy, then may go back up the road to Rosedale as per previous plan.
Cheers.

Renmark Caravan Park, SA.  First time camper has had a run in awhile. Nice place here, good for the kids to swim and ride their bikes etc,  only downside is its right on the highway and the trucks are keeping us awake at night!
