Title: Games and Activity Equipment.....
Post by: MnMs on April 14, 2010, 01:36:34 PM
Obviously there will be some happy hour beach games to be had. So below is a list of items that I have thought of that are a pre-requisite to bring along. So, if we can all pitch in and bring one of the items it will ensure we don't double up.

So, simply reply that you have a ......... and are bringing it.

~ A Cricket Bat
~ A few Tennis Balls
~ A Football
~ A Vortex Ball (if unsure - Google it)
~ A Frisbee
~ Totem Tennis
~ A Soccer Ball
~ Bocce Balls
~ Badminton (though maybe too windy)

If you have any more ideas, feel free to add and bring it along.

Marc.

I'm sure an empty carton will do the trick of wickets..... ;)

And it is also mandatory to wear a singlet, a straw hat, and permanently have a beverage in hand (unless batting) for beach cricket.

Any spilt beverages on one of natures most sacred sands will be punished. Such indiscretions will result in fetching the next round of said brews for each player.  :police:

As mentioned don't forget this vital piece of sporting equipment that must be held (and occupied by cold beverage) at all times while doing any sporting activity   Maybe that should be for the whole week  ;D

As we have a child we have the following items that usually get put into the camper when we go.

Totem tennis with spare ball and leash (I have a habit of hitting it too hard and sending the ball into orbit) >:D

Cricket set inc bat and wickets

Boche set

Soccer ball

Football

Thats the usual carry on equipement, will post if I can think of anything else

We usually take totem tennis, a cricket set, boccie, a soccer ball, connect 4, guess who, and uno.

If that doesn't keep them interested nothing will. A soft drink twice a day to keep them hyped up and then they wear themselves out giving us some time to ourselves.

Cheers Rod.... 8)
