Can you use your webber q as a stove top too?

A not very good one -yes.
if you want everything in a stove(bbq/stove) its hard

the coleman 3burner is good with plate (heard a few issues with quality but a good priced unit)

I had trouble finding one to do everything and ended up with a lido JR
two burners and grill
added 500x280 BBQ plate 13mm(roughly)
and skittle(coleman) for brekkie
full gas both burners for BBQ perfect heat
half throttle for skittle

I was plumbed to low pressure and using access door.

The Q is designed to cook with the lid down. You can cook eggs/bacom etc on the breakfast plate with the lid down but you'd die of thirst if you waited for a billy to boil.
