Fishing Report !!
« on: July 11, 2011, 08:10:53 AM »
Well we did catch some fish !!! Very little fish were being caught off the jetty and the wind was being a real pain out on the water but we braved the conditions for some good fish.

Martin used his Barra techniques and caught a nice one off the jetty measuring 65cm. He ran down the beach with the fish above his head like rocky to boast to everyone. The jetty was then packed after seeing the fish.

Bert, Tim, Yogi and I hired a boat to fish around the islands. After drifting and getting no bites we decided to troll along a reef with Bert hooking up the first of 3 queenfish. He was very excited to say the least. Then followed Yogi with one and Tim catching the third. Being the skipper it was then my turn but no luck !!! Yogi got a strike and then lost his gear. I thnink he cut the line so I could not catch one.

We then trolled along the jetty and caught a wolf herring and barracutta and that was it in the end.

The last pic is bert after a hard day fishing...or was that drinking !!!

I only had a couple, the rest of the crew drank the carton including you yogi. You are jealous because my fish was bigger than yours.
