Many thanks to all
« on: July 26, 2012, 08:52:37 AM »

Where does one start, the drive from Tassie to Cairns meeting members at Lake Placid and
then the trip starts, what a lot of memories (about 2 weeks at my age) of course driving a
good 4wd made the trip easy.
Drove back down the track with Bert we parted company at Ravenshoe and then the rain started
stayed at Greenvale c/park that night 4 inches of rain, then on to Clermont still raining then to
Miles for a week and now at Brisbane staying with Paulp and Maria while getting my windscreen
replaced (had a hole the size of a fifty cent piece were a rock went thru the screen 5km from Laura) going to the Cape).
What a great trip and to all members thanks for your advice when needed and a special thanks
to Paul and Maria for their invite to Brisbane.

Mauri.

Mauri

It was a real pleasure meeting you. Driving from Tassie to the Cape is a long drive. The landrover performed brilliant as it should with a very experianced driver behind it.

Maurie,

Amy and I really enjoyed your company, stories and wit!!!  Could sit around a fire and nag for hours with your stories.  We should have started a book even with what we heard.

Hope to catch you (even in Tas) one day.

Please say hi to Paul and Maria. Enjoy those coffees

Glenn

Thank you all for your kind remarks, and yes Jk those fish tablets certainly work cos when I was
a young lad I could not bend my best friend with two hands now I can do it easily with one
so I must be getting stronger.

Hi Maurie,
You are what Myswag is all about , help others when needed, bring cheer to the group, and have a love for bush camping.
I am not saying that you are old but I hope that when I get to your age I can do and enjoy what Australia has to offer.

All the best mate and a safe trip home.

cheers duggie.
