No brainer for me. If I had a choice to work from home full time I would jump at it.

My wife does. I have to go to work everyday and deal with a bunch of muppets face to face  >:D

Would be like living full time at your favourite holiday spot . Great at first but Meh! same same, after the initial shine / novelty wore off .
Biggest part of it is you cant get away from it [ Your work] and turds think your on call 24 / 7  just for them ....
The wife worked from home for the past few years.. Muppet of a boss would ring up at midnight / anytime ... wanting this n that / figures etc ..even when we were on holidays ..

For me, it's become more like living at work.....

My view of it might change if we weren't in lockdown.

Once work goes back properly, I won't have a choice but to be back on site. It's been lovely not driving to work for a while now, but I'm starting to get over working from home, and wifey is sick of having me home working when she can't have her stereo going lol. Plus I moved out to the caravan to work from and it has no air-con, and the days are starting to warm up.....
We've swapped from the camper to a van yay! :)

Yes i found a similar issue.. While I liked working from home somehow the rest of the business thought that meant I sat at my lap top or could just walk to the next room and fire it up anywhere from 6am to 10pm. I actually found on average when I did my 5 months working from home my hours increased

I'm very lucky in that I can work from home.

I came home on March 19th and only went back to the office once. (at 8am one Sunday morning to pick up my computer, monitors and everything)

with VOIP phones, and NBN at work and home... It's seamless.

I won't be (ever) going back.

I agree, novelty has wore off after 7 months but i would like 1-2 days at home a week once we get back to normal if that's possible.

I've been able to work from home for 20 years where I'd usually work 1-2 days a week from home. After working from home full time since March, I'd like to go back to 3 days from home 2 days in the office. You can't beat the human interaction that in person meetings give you.

Work from home 3 days a week, two in the office to keep the social face to face contacts going.

I dont think I will ever be  going  back to fulltime office based work.

We have 47 staff in our Facilities Management Unit. All work from home to some degree now.

I find it much more productive both work wise and personally (no muppets to deal with). I spread my day between 8:00AM and 6:00 PM as I want. For example, at 4:00 I will go and pick up the grandson from Childcare and drop him home, then work thru till 5:30.

I have worked from home for the last 8 years. I love it. Most of our staff work from home (scattered across the globe) and people are very good with sticking to "office hours". That's where email is good. Send me an email anytime you like, but I'll respond the next time I'm working, not right now. Of course we do more than 9-5 (more like 8-6), but yin and yang. Work is good if I need time off for a kids school thing, so it balances out.
Do I miss interaction with others? Well, not really - we have a video call every day so I still get to "see" and talk to everyone on the team. We have a group chat so if someone needs urgent help, wants to let everyone know they're /afk, etc - they ask.
And I get to do kid pick-up and drop-off while the wife goes into the city to work.
For us, it's great.

Three time sounds like a waste of resources.....for little reward.

I work for a multi national, our whole Brisbane and Adelaide offices work from home permanently now. The company HQ in Canada briefly discussed home office inspection but quickly binned it as it was no more or less risky than traveling to an office. Just another day following company procedures, standards, min requirements.

I do service work so impossible to work from home but I do like getting out and about all day. Always meeting new clients, work hours constantly changing from 14hr days to 3 hr days, clients buying me coffee and having a good chat. Not sure I could work at the same place everyday for months/years, same reason I don't think working from home would suit me. And when I'm home I always see the little things that need doing here and there and it distracts me haha!!!

Apart from the social interaction, you would on the quick informal discussions.  A simple "What do you think if we did ...." You probably won't pick up the phone for.
